Susan Gunn is a senior partner and member of our Performance Improvement and People & Organization practices.
A seasoned global business leader, Susan brings deep expertise in human capital and has successfully built and led high-performing teams across industries, geographies, and cultures. With broad proficiency across all human resources disciplines, she advises senior executives on HR strategy and transformation, digital innovation, executive compensation, mergers and acquisitions, and C-suite talent agendas. At Bain, she focuses on helping clients worldwide shape and advance human capital and talent strategies that enable long-term organizational success.
Widely recognized as an authority on workforce and people-related issues, Susan has been cited by The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, and Fortune. She counsels organizations on topics ranging from addressing labor market challenges to navigating the workforce implications of emerging technologies such as generative and agentic AI.
Before joining Bain, Susan served as Managing Director of People Advisory Services at a Big Four accounting firm. Over nearly three decades, she held senior HR leadership roles at Aramark, Gardner Denver, Willis Towers Watson, Revlon, and Vivendi.
Susan earned a degree in economics from McGill University. She also served for 13 years as a Board Member of Leadership Philadelphia, a nonprofit dedicated to mobilizing private-sector talent in service of the community.
