Zach First leads Bain's Value Creation Center. He is the inventor or co-inventor of Bain's Stakeholder Value System, Synthetic Org Navigator, Synthetic Employees, and Strategic Fit diagnostic.
Prior to joining Bain, Zach helped launch the Drucker Institute where he went on to serve as Executive Director. In addition to his consulting work, Zach has written for Harvard Business Review magazine, co-led the creation of the The Wall Street Journal annual ranking of the best managed companies, and co-led the creation and commercialization of investment indices and funds with S&P Dow Jones Indices and Japan's Daiwa Asset Management.
He holds an Ed.D from Harvard University and a B.A. in philosophy from Haverford College.
