Measurements:
60 g dark chocolate (70% cocoa)chopped
1 double shot espressochilled
15 ml Kahlua coffee liqueur
15 ml vodka
2 tsp sugar syrup
Ice cubes
1 scoop chocolate ice cream
Gold leafto garnish
Instructions
- 1To melt the chocolate, place the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of barely simmering water. Don't allow the base of the bowl to touch the water, so the chocolate doesn't overheat. Stir occasionally until melted.Tip: Chocolate can also be melted in the microwave.
- 2Remove the chocolate from the heat. Dip a martini glass into the chocolate to coat the rim.
- 3Place the chilled espresso, Kahlua, vodka and sugar syrup in a cocktail shaker. Fill the shaker with ice and replace the lid. Vigorously shake until combined.
- 4Strain the contents of the cocktail shaker into the prepared martini glass. Add the ice cream and garnish with gold leaf.
